When you come in to our Buford office for your first visit, Dr. Krzemien and his staff will review your patient history, discuss your health-related concerns, perform a thorough evaluation, and proceed with treatment or order further diagnostics if needed.
The first initial consultation may take anywhere from 30-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your case. It will include the testing of your reflexes and flexibility, as well as other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests.
Depending on your specific condition, we may choose to take x-rays during this visit so that we can put together the optimal treatment plan for your well-being.
Once all of this information has been collected and all necessary examinations have been performed, your doctor will discuss your goals, as well as his recommendations for further treatment.
While follow-up visits generally run between 15-60 minutes, all visits will require Dr. Krzemien to visualize the area of your pain. If you are female and have a neck, upper back, or shoulder complaint, it is best to wear a sports bra or something which will allow the doctor access to your area of concern. If you are being seen for a leg or hip condition, please wear or bring shorts for your treatment.
Also, please keep in mind that doctors of chiropractic use manual techniques to assess and treat your pain. Drugs will not be prescribed, and no injections will be administered.
