Our Commitment
Georgia Spine and Sports Rehab is committed to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We design, build, and maintain georgiaspinesports.com so that everyone, including people who use assistive technology, can access information about our care, our doctors, and our location with dignity and independence.
Need an accommodation for a visit? Call (770) 614-6551 or email info@georgiaspinesports.com at least 5 business days before your appointment. Same-day requests are handled as best we can.
Conformance Target
Georgia Spine and Sports Rehab targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. georgiaspinesports.com is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. We do not claim full conformance because no large website is ever genuinely fully conformant. We list known limitations below.
Measures We Take
Georgia Spine and Sports Rehab takes the following measures to support accessibility:
- We treat accessibility as a requirement for all new digital content, not as a remediation step.
- We use semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA where appropriate, and patterns from the W3C WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices Guide.
- We review designs and code for keyboard operability, focus management, color contrast, target size, and text alternatives.
- We test with screen readers including VoiceOver and NVDA on current versions of major browsers.
- We run automated tests with axe-core and Lighthouse on every release.
- We honor the user's reduced-motion preference. Background motion and scroll-triggered animations are reduced or removed when the system preference is set.
- We maintain a remediation backlog and track accessibility defects with the same priority as functional defects.
Third-Party Content
Some content on georgiaspinesports.com is provided by third parties, including Google Fonts and Tailwind CSS via CDN, along with embedded video on selected condition and service pages. We do not control the accessibility of third-party content or services. Where third-party content does not meet our accessibility goals, we offer alternative ways to access the same information or function. Contact us if you encounter a third-party barrier and we will assist or provide an alternative.
No Accessibility Overlay
georgiaspinesports.com does not use an accessibility overlay, widget, or plug-in (sometimes marketed as a one-line-of-code accessibility solution). Independent accessibility experts, the W3C, and federal regulators have raised concerns that overlays do not remediate underlying code, can interfere with assistive technology, and may not protect against accessibility claims. We invest in accessibility at the source instead.

Compatibility
georgiaspinesports.com is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and with the following assistive technologies tested in the last 12 months: VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, and keyboard-only navigation.
Technologies
Accessibility of georgiaspinesports.com relies on the following technologies in combination with a web browser and any assistive technology installed on your device: HTML, CSS, WAI-ARIA, JavaScript.
Assessment Approach
We assess the accessibility of georgiaspinesports.com by:
- Self-evaluation using axe-core, Lighthouse, and manual review against WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria.
- Assistive technology testing with VoiceOver and NVDA at each major release.
- Quarterly review of the published statement and the underlying code.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of georgiaspinesports.com may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA. Known limitations include:
- Some legacy blog posts and older condition pages may have inconsistent heading hierarchy. We are normalizing these on the next content review pass.
- A small number of anatomical diagrams on condition pages have concise alt text that we are expanding to fuller text descriptions where the diagram conveys clinical meaning.
- The pricing-comparison interactive widget on the pricing page may not announce filter result updates to all screen readers. We are tracking this in the remediation backlog.
If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please contact us so we can work on it.
