NUTRITION & SUPPLEMENT COUNSELING

While there are many factors which dictate your overall health and wellness, the “you are what you eat” adage is something that we should try to keep in mind when fueling our bodies.

In today’s world, we are constantly inundated with infomercials and ads about the new crash diet or weight loss fad, but there’s a reason that the diet industry brings in billions of dollars per year.  In short, most don’t work!

While weight and body mass index are extremely relevant when it comes to fighting off diseases such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, and cancer, simply being thin does not necessary equal health.

Plain and simple, food is essentially fuel, and the quality that you’re putting in your tank dictates how smoothly your body will run.  The number on the scale is not always the most important indicator of our health.

With this in mind, we offer nutrition and supplement counseling, so that you can begin to learn how to navigate through all of the junk.

As an athlete, if you’re not feeding your body adequate amounts of lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and good fats, then you’re not performing at your highest level possible.  For example, if you frequently find yourself consuming fast food, which is notorious for making people feel sluggish and tired, then how do you think you’ll look when you get into the game?  Sluggish and tired.

Therefore, our unique counseling will help you understand the types of foods which will increase your performance, as well as the ones which will help facilitate recovery after strenuous workouts, games, or even injuries.

In many ways, what we put into our bodies dictates what we will get out of them in return—disease or health.

If you feel that this is an area where you could use some assistance, we want to help you feel better than you’ve ever felt before!
